Public Health Expert · Advocate · Speaker · Consultant

If you work in public health, policy, nonprofit leadership, or community advocacy, chances are you’re carrying

where my work begins

More than your share.

You’re navigating complexity, political pressure, emotional labor, and constant urgency—often with limited resources and very little room to pause. You don’t need another pep talk. You don’t need abstract frameworks or jargon-filled advice.

You need clarity that respects the weight of the work.
Support that feels human, not performative.
And guidance that helps you move forward—steadily, realistically, and with purpose.

You care deeply.
The systems are heavy.
The path forward isn’t always clear.

My work is shaped by years of academic training, professional experience, and lived understanding of the systems we’re trying to improve. I lead with empathy, grounded analysis, and a commitment to helping people feel supported—not overwhelmed—by the work ahead.

Whether I’m advising an organization, speaking to a room of leaders, or working one-on-one with clients, my role is the same:
to steady the room, bring clarity to complexity, and help people move forward with courage and care.

Travel

You spend your days making decisions, leading teams, and managing responsibilities. Planning a complex trip for your family shouldn’t land on your shoulders too. I curate your vacation so that it is a Strategic Pause. Let me handle the complexities so you can simply disconnect, reconnect, and return to your mission renewed.

Travel Planning & The strategic pause

Travel & The

Strategic Pause

This space is crowded. Many voices inform. Some inspire. Few help people actually move. My work sits at the intersection of lived experience and academic rigor—bringing together public health expertise, policy insight, advocacy, and storytelling. I don’t dilute complexity, but I refuse to hide behind it.

Clear thinking.
Human delivery.

Trusted by leaders, institutions, and communities

Momentum that lasts.

I used to be the person who sent real letters and hand-written cards. But three kids and a post-aneurysm life later, my handwriting can’t quite keep up with my heart & mind.

I am writing this weekly letter for the people in my life who are doing a lot. Some of you are doing serious work in public health and policy. Some of you are managing busy homes and big dreams. All of you are navigating a world that demands a lot of your time and energy.

My goal is simple. I want to build stronger friendships and stay connected in a way that feels real. I want to share what I am up to and my thoughts on moving through this world a little more slowly and with more intention. This is a place for us to be closer without just scrolling past the "perfect" highlights on social media.

I will share notes on the work I care about, travel I am planning, and the things I am learning along the way.  This is a space for the quiet realities and the things that matter most.
